I'll Have Another proved to be one of the best Eisaman Equine sales grads of 2011 after winning the Kentucky Derby (G1) and Preakness (G1) as part of an undefeated 3-year-old season that propelled him to an overwhelming choice for the 2012 3-year-old male Eclipse Award.
The Eclipse Awards were handed out on Jan. 19 at Gulfstream Park, with I'll Have Another garnering 247 out of a possible 254 votes. Eisaman prepped and sold the future star at the OBS Spring sale in April, where he brought a winning bid of $35,000 from Dennis O'Neill, brother of the colt's trainer, Doug, on behalf of his owner J. Paul Reddam.
I'll Have Another went on to win five of seven starts, with one second, earning $2,693,600. Besides his success in the Classics, the son of Flower Alley also won the Santa Anita Derby (G1) and Robert Lewis S. (G2) earlier in his sophomore season.
