It'smyluckyday joined the ranks of racing's millionaires with his length and a half victory in the Grade 3 Salvator Mile Sunday at Monmouth Park (

The Eisaman Equine sales grad picked up the lion's share of the $150,000, elevating his lifetime earnings to $1,022,600 from a record of eight wins from 17 career outings. Seven of his wins have come in stakes, including the 2013 Holy Bull S. (G3). He also finished second in the 2013 Preakness (G1).
The Salvatore win, which came in geared down fashion after a three wide move on the turn, has trainer Eddie Plesa, Jr. thinking bigger things for the 4-year-old son of Lawyer Ron.
"We've been building with him each race," said winning trainer Eddie Plesa Jr. "This was his toughest test since his first race back when he faced Palace Malice (in the Grade 2 Gulfstream Park H. March 8). He handled everything well.
“He passed with an A+. He was three-wide around the entire turn and still managed to kick away in the lane. He kind of pulled himself up in the end.
He’ll be back for the Monmouth Cup (Grade 2, $200,000, 1 1/8 miles on July 27), barring anything unforeseen.”
Eisaman sold It'smyluckyday to Plesa, on behalf David Melin, for $110,000 at the 2012 OBS March Select Sale of 2-year-olds.
