Ondine, a 3-year-old filly by Medaglia d’Oro, became Eisaman Equine’s latest stakes winner for owner Peachtree Stable when she proved best in the $50,000 Bob Lewis S. Sept. 6 at the Barretts meet in California.
Trained by Bob Baffert, Ondine first got her start as a racehorse in Ocala at Eisaman’s, where she was broken and prepared for her racing career early as a juvenile before joining Peachtree’s stable in California.
Out of a rich Sam-Son female family, Ondine has a stellar record of 3-3-2 from eight lifetime starts with earnings of $156,200. Her win Friday was her first stakes triumph. Earlier this year, Ondine placed in the Hollywood Oaks (G2).
