Yes I’m Lucky dueled with stablemate Run for Logistics for the entire five furlongs of the $60,000 Tyro S. Sunday at Monmouth Park, ultimately prevailing by a length and three-quarters to give Eisaman grads a one-two finish in the turf stakes for 2-year-olds.
Yes I'm Lucky is the fourth stakes winner of the weekend for Eisaman grads.
Ridden by Paco Lopez, Yes I’m Lucky stepped the five furlongs over “good” turf in :56.93.
“I was very pleased with the way both my horses ran,” said winning trainer Eddie Plesa Jr.. “Yes It’s True horses don’t necessarily like the turf, so I was hoping for his mother’s side to kick in. He ran great. Barring anything unforeseen, they’ll both be back in the Sapling (Grade 3 at Monmouth on Sept. 1).”
Yes I'm Lucky is a perfect 3-for-3, with a win Frank Gomez Memorial S. June 22 at Calder. He has bankrolled $93,000 for co-owners Trilogy Stable and Laurie Plesa, the trainer's wife.
Eisaman sold Yes I'm Lucky earlier this year's OBS Select Sale of 2-year-olds in March, where his owners placed the winning bid of $105,000. Run for Logistics was a $50,000 sales grad at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic sale in late May.
